View Full Version : Want suggestion on DVD Authouring program.

Friends As of now I use Nero for all my Dvd authoring needs. I want some thing thats rich in features like menu creation, fit to disk option and many more. most important thing is I want a software which is light on my P4 2.9 ghz 40gb 256 ram system. pls help me out.

you can use TMPGEnc DVD Author to do that, it is a very good software.

Nero is the way to go. 'Fit to disc' transcoding will always take up a lot of CPU resources. The newer processors can do this a lot quicker.
Buy more 512M more ram. It's a cheap upgrade and it will speed up your tasks.

Thanks for ur vauable comment man. but while using nero many times the audio volume is very low that i couldn't hear it some times...

But Nero does not provide u many menu options and moreover some files tends to loose audio volume when done so in nero!!!!!!!!!

I hope the extra RAM helps you. I picked up some on EBAY a while ago for a good price.
As to the sound problem, I have not run into that problem. Check your Nero settings.
You might want to try VirtualDub. It is freeware. It is not as easy to use as Nero, but you have a lot more options for audio.

The newer version of convert x to dvd has some nice menu functions and converts to any format NTSC or PAL. It is faster then ever too,, earlier versions were slower. I stopped using Nero because of the resources it takes up.
Plus ConvertX to DVD will encode most every file format now.

I was always a fan of nero and i guess will always be! There are some newer verions out! am not too familiar with the new as the older version! Just haven't had the time to site and go through the new ones
