Here are the specs:
HostingAC is offering SeedBox servers, itīs come with torrentflux server and HTTP access to your files.

Any of you hear anything bad about HostingAC or feel I should be wary of purchasing from this host?

$10 per month sounds decent but I would prefer more than 3 running torrents.

I emailed the guy for a test account, waiting for info. I'd only be upping DVD-Rs, so I wouldn't need more than 3 at once. It would be nice though if it was like a 500 GB HD and unlimited torrents and unlimited bandwidth for 10 bucks a month :) A man can dream...lol

How are the speeds for this service? I'm in the process of ordering a service and it is way more expensive than this.

I checked the digitalpoint forum, and I think he's doing the free test thing tomorrow, so I don't know yet.

All of you should know that most likely good deals (too good to be true ones) are most likely to be either bad deals or no deals. This thing doesen't seem real enough for me. Also swift here had some posts about offering seedbox service for some accessible prices, i'd rather trust him than some stranger.

yea guys sorry but i have been extremely busy and actually used the server to link up to a irc network. I plan on getting a giga server to support many users but this will take time.

Speeds are pretty good. I uploaded 8mb a sec to TD yesterday. Doubled my ratio in 1 day. I don't care about the speed as much tho, when I'm only paying 10 dollars a month. sWift is really busy so this is just a solution until he can find the time to set me up with a seedbox.
My account was setup under 24 hours after he received payment.

I'm doing the free trial now, and upload speed has ranged from 190-380 kB/s so far, downloads at around 400+ kB/s. I think for 10 bucks a month it's definitely worth it, just wish I could test it w/ 2 torrents at once.
TriMe, did he say if it comes with ftp? I forgot to ask.
EDIT: NVM, I talked to the guy and he said it was slow b/c of all the free users.

Speeds need to be better. Yeah its $10, but you are very limited (3 torrents 500GB). You can go in with a couple friends and get into this price range with less restrictions. If the speeds improve or they improve the restrictions, this becomes a steal.
Still, this is better than my current ISP, but if you are going to get a seedbox, I would suggest hooking up with some friends and looking into other services.

EDIT: my upload speeds seemed to have dropped to around 60 kB/s for the last 10 minutes. If that doesn't improve soon I might reconsider about paying for this service. And I'm connectable with plenty of leechers, so it's not the torrent.
He said that in the near future it will have ftp support.
My upload on 2 sites range from 400kb/s to 1200kb/s depending on connected peers of course.
I notice that on the internet site that I'm connected to a smaller amount of leechers than the site displays.

I'm looking at Vectoral right now. I hear they have great speeds. Base package is $29.95/month 500GB I believe. I think the next package up is $49.95 (need to add Windows). With a friend sharing the cost this gets you around the $30.00 mark.
I might add that you will also be on a dedicated server.

Ya, I looked at vectoral too, but they're a little too expensive. $20 is my max, I'm on a limited budget.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not trying to bad mouth this service, but I need a little more information on this before I go ordering it.

I'm really happy with it.

Sorry to say that the service has been down for 2 days now.
No email or PM yet as to a return so hopefully I didn't get ripped off.
Unfortunately with my lack of knowledge I'm stuck with a host that comes pre configured with torrentflux. I recently found a host called BR-Hosting (http://www.br-hosting.com/en/torrentflux.php). They offer 5 torrent plans witch is more that I can say about most pre-configured hosts at pretty good rates. There based out of Germany and there site looks very professional.
I purchased the second package with a paypal subscription. Im still awaiting a response. Ill keep you posted.
If this one fails, I may look to some of you for help setting one up from scratch. Maybe I'll offer a free months use for helping if need be, or something similar.
