Like the title says. Where do you buy all of you hardware? Mainly i'm interested in online stores.

The only hardware store i can think of in Los Angeles would be Fry's Electronics other than that i don't know of any. If anyone else knows of anywhere else in the LA area please let me know.
Thanks.

I'm surprised you don't try Newegg...

The Canadian equivalent would be NCIX. Although Newegg does have a Canadian site now (recently launched), it isn't as competitive as NCIX is.

NCIX is definitely the best here. Newegg.ca is crap. Bought something from them when it opened. Item was actually sent from US, and I end up paying much more than originally expected. But I almost always buy from a local store cause I hate having to send items back by mail for repair or something and argue with the guys on the phone. Too much stress I'd rather avoid.

I don't know about Canada, but in the US Newegg is great for ordering online. I wish I lived near a Fry's though because some things are cheaper when you buy them in store.

I mostly order my parts off the forementioned newegg. I also have tried tigerdirect. I normally search retailmenot.com and the cashback of live.com to see which has the best/cheapest deals and that is how I normally pick which one.

Fry's Electronics - since my girlfriend works there and she gets employee discounts :)

In Australia, the best online site is staticice. It lists all retailers and is a good starting point. I order most of my stuff from pccasegear.
Otherwise there are computer fairs every weekend in Canberra where I live.

NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com/) is the obvious choice because their review system is excellent.

TigerDirect (http://www.tigerdirect.com/) is similar to NewEgg, with generally cheaper prices.

Also, try using meta-searches like PriceWatch (http://www.pricewatch.com/public/) and PriceGrabber (http://www.pricegrabber.com/)

For Australia, staticice is great. I also shop at centrecom as they are my local store however they don't necessarily have the best prices all the time.

Mostly from newegg. I'll say they have the satisfying customer service and great products with low pricing. They have nice packages that I can buy for lower prices, and they often have nice offers.

When i order stuff to US address i use Newegg, Newegg.ca sucks as everything is shipped from the US causing large customs fees and delays. So in Canada i use NCIX, their high priced but price match canadian retailers.

I've used both Tiger Direct (http://www.tigerdirect.com) and NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com) and I have to say I prefer NewEgg. They've got great deals on an excellent selection, and I've heard so many bad things about people getting ripped off with the rebates that Tiger Direct offers that I'm worried to buy anything there anymore.

Tiger direct is alright and there's another one I use, I think it's ncix. Those are both really good.

For Canadian customers:

1. bestdirect.ca (best overall prices)
2. ncix.com (well made site, good prices and they only charge gst where I live)
3. directcanada.com (for what ncix and bestdirect do not have)
4. tigerdirect.ca (they charge both taxes because they got branch offices everywhere, but sometimes have nice rebates, ex.: 8800gt currently selling at 88$)
5. For anything else shopbot.ca
