im wondring what programs are needed to start seeding in linux, i have no knowleg of linux at all so i need to collect all info i can before starting.
my torrent choice will be azareus or utorrent, depends on witch one is the easy and faster to use.

well you can use utorrent through wine or you could also use rtorrent. From what I've heard azureus isn't as good on a seedbox because it takes more resources.

azureus is a java application - and java is quite resources hungry, but dont affects dl speed.
and its quite dirty to use utorrent via wine - there are very good, very fast native BT clients.
what deskotop environment do you have?
deluge or transmission are small and nice alternatives to utorrent ...
adam is right, if you are in linux as a desktop you should check out transmission. I know a lot of people that use utorrent in wine but to me that's just so backwards :\
