There are so many threads here that no longer have any value either because they are outdated or the info provided no longer applies. We should have the option to delete or close our own threads so that we may keep the site clean and uncluttered.

As an example; the open signup section is a mess since everyone makes a new thread for each and every site that happens to be temporarily opened. This causes huge amounts of clutter as the section drowns in dead threads that are completely useless and misleading. If the user could close his own thread then people would have to take a little responsibility for what they post; otherwise it's tantamount to spamming by just posting and forgetting about it.

All these threads that have lost their meaning our like open sores on the site and need to be removed.

I agree we should be able to close our own threads, especially in the giveaway sections. Once all the invites have been handed out, it would be good to close the thread and then once a thread has been closed for a certain period of time it could perhaps be automatically deleted? Just an idea.

There are some threads that are outdated and haven't had any posts in a while but still have some good discussions or information so I don't think all outdated threads should be deleted.

I think you can delete your own threads. Check under thread tools up at the top by search this thread and what not. I can't remember, I haven't made a thread in awhile.

The option is not available in every section. I have not made a thread in the GA section so I could not tell you if the option is available in that section, but I know I can't close/delete my thread in the Tracker signup section.

We need the option the most in the GA, Request, and Signup section.
