Tracker Discussion Section.

I know the tracker review section is closed from adding comments. but I would like to have new section added where different user can share their input on a certain tracker. sure, the review does help, but it's best to hear from the actual users instead.

i guess the trackers a re reviewed from people who are member there and even the mods approve it before being put up on the forum so tht to make sure the review is good. And for the rest of the discussion we do have the general discussion section.

You probably could just open a thread in the general discussion to discuss a tracker. After all, there are a few polls/threads for the better trackers etc.

I just have a feeling that a forum dedicated to Tracker Discussions will turn mostly into a spam forum with people saying they don't have the tracker but they would like to have it or one word posts that really don't give much insight into the tracker at all. That is why I think the tracker reviews forum will serve a much better purpose to tell you about a tracker rather than a discussion forum for it.

We can give a warning to only post constructive comments. If that doesnt work we can make the posts there not count?

That would probably work if the posts didn't count. Don't get me wrong, I definitely agree that it would be very useful to hear the opinions of actual users on the tracker but I just have the feeling that there would be many useless posts.

Perhaps there could be a format the posts should be in. Similar to how the tracker reviews have a certain structure maybe the posts to discuss a tracker could have something similar. For example:

1. Discuss it's content.
2. Discuss it's speeds and pretimes.
.... (whatever other questions might be of relevance)
and then finally leave a bit for users to add something else they think would be helpful.

I think turtle and Slav are on to something. Some constructed criticism would be very useful to those of us that have a certain tracker in our prospects. That way people won't waste an invite on someone who finds out that the tracker is not what they expected. Great idea fellas.
