Open Sign-up Torrents rule

i would like to suggest a "rule" for the category mentioned..

First i will make a statement

Posting for a sign-up-open tracker means that the poster :

*is already a member of the tracker and informs you that the tracker is open now

*he just became a member cause the tracker is open!

or
there is a small chance that the user is not interested in joining the specific tracker and just posts that its open



regarding the first two * i suggest creating a rule according to which the poster should also post the current statistics of the tracker.

ie if someone post for .torrentbits he should also include:


Stats

Max users 50000
Registered users 49821
Unconfirmed users 179
Male users 45045
Female users 3020
Torrents 8,607
Peers 96,431
Seeders 90993
Leechers 5438
Seeder/leecher ratio (%) 1673

in his post..along with the type of tracker and his personal opinion (if he was a member for some time)

This will help people to get to know the tracker, see if they are interested in and join only if they are..so that they are not needlessly registering..:)

I like this idea. Some other (unnamed) forums have a discription of the individual trackers but on here there are so many flying around that it'd probably be pretty tedious to do that. So if someone posts that one's open i think it would be nice to get some sort of idea what it's like.

Well if some of you would start working on some reviews that we need so much i am sure this would not be needed. That is why the section exists, to look at a tracker you don't have see if you like it before trying to join.

A better idea would be to stop posting every open tracker out there, we all know what btracs is, just post only the better trackers that are not always open for signup.

I agree, no point in posting sites that everyone can find using btracs.

the idea has to do with the fact that people do NOT make reviews. cause it takes some time..

not bad..but since you cannot exactly point out which are the best trackers..you cannot set an exact point..moreover you cannot restrict users to post trackers, as soon as they are open..(like the forum topic suggests..)

k really i expect nothing more from the great members that take the time to post here to let other members know a site has opened so that all can join. If the poster feels like adding the extra info thats a plus but requiring it ?? don't see it, though a good idea and maybe members will see this and take into consideration.

Also there is a really nice Review section which still needs reviews from many sites anybody is welcomed to create one, i'll even offer a really special prize for the member with the most approved reviews ;)

not everybody knows bout btracs... really i just recently found out bout this service and still don't even use it... I almost always go by the Open signup section.

but its kind of problem to spot specific trackers in there!

well..i don't believe that making a single copy paste is that much work..
besides, the last suggestion wwas to put it as a "hint" not as requirement!
