how do you close thread?

I started a topic and the site doesn't have open sign up now and I wanted to close the thread so no one would think it is still open, how do I do that?

Go to one of your posts, click edit, click go advanced. Scroll down to the bottom and there will be an are to tick that says close after making changes.

U can lock Threads in the Giveaway section only ... (I think!)

No. You can close any thread that you start. I closed one outside of the giveaway section yesterday.

Hmmm... or maybe not. I tried to close one of my threads in the anything goes forum and couldnt, but I did close one on the Elite Section yesterday.

I tried what you said and there was not an option to closed or delete the thread. If anyone can close threads it is the underground-gamer thread I started in open signup torrents. The site isn't open at the moment so I didn't want anyone to try and find out it isn't open anymore.
