Video editing

Hi, I've just bought a new video camera that shoots both Standard Definition (SD) and High Definition (HD) and I require a good editing suite. The one that came with my video camera is pretty awful/basic so I was hoping that someone could recommend one to me. Cheers

depends what you want to do. for very simple cutting pasting and maybe adding some effects- video edit magic.
but thats like beefed up powerpoint

If you really want a feature loaded suite, i would go with adobe premier., but like said above, it depends on your overall goal.

Adobe Premiere is great. If you want something easier but still quite powerful, perhaps Sony Vegas. By the way, you'll need a decent PC to edit HD video.
