Going through the giveaways forum i've noticed alot of people posting replys to threads with only something like "nice giveaway" or "great giveaway" and nothing else. Looking at some of the threads now and i can see that some of the same posters have done this for most of the threads there. I'm not saying that that i don't like the posters because i've had some good giveaways from these users as well. But these posts seem to have no purpose than to increase the post count of the users, they really don't add anything useful to the thread and can be annoying when going through the thread to see what has been taken already.

These are the last 4 threads to be posted in in the giveaway section right now.

You can see that there are a couple of users who have posted in every one of these threads only to say "good giveaway". Like i said before, i don't have anything against the users just the annoying postCount++ replys and i know im not the only person who finds it annoying.

Well it is kind of anyoing, but maybe they really want to congratulate the user for the giveaway because they are impressed of what he is giving away... not just increase the number of their posts:)

Ok this is how it's gonna work, from now. Everybody will get 1 chance to congratulate the giver or wishing to a good luck to a friend of his in the giveaway. Everyone posting more than once in this purpose will be considered a spammer, his posts will be deleted and he will get a warning. Agreed?

I think we should appreciate if he/she gives out a Hi-Level tracker ..maybe 4+ .... To encourage new posters I appreciate the giveaway .... But not in each n every friggin' thread ... That's SPAM .

Thats what the rep feature is for.

WRONG! Rep is to be given only if you receive something in the giveaway, not just because you like what he's giving. If you get nothing, don't rep!

Hehe... nice solution. This will surely keep giveaway threads from beeing spammed... I hope

I understand the meaning for starting this post, but I want to point out as well that I think it is important to thank the giver no matter what level the ihvite/account is. The purpose of this forum is to meet people and give/share. Personally, I would be upset if no one mentioned that they appreciate one of my giveaways.

That being said, I also think that it is important to not jump on the "awesome giveaway" bandwagon. Too many thank yous takes away from the meaning of the giveaway. For the most part I think we are all people with common sense here. Everyone should understand when the giver has been thanked enough.

If not....that is what we have Diet for. :):):)

tricky situation we have here.. But bottom line is i myself hate seeing all these thank you posts but sometime can't resist but to let the giver know what an awesome job they doing. My suggestion would be to maybe create a thank you thread and keep all the thank you's there idk.

Idk swift, maybe there's an easy way around this. Each giver should says in his thread No Spam Allowed, that meaning no one can post except to ask for the invite. No need to complicate things, we need to keep the simple and user friendly, we're not in the army here (Except Diet of course :P).

I still think that everyone should have a chance to thank the giver once if the giveaway is indeed very good, so 1 thank you per person should be allowed if the giver does not specify "No Spam Allowed!".

k. well IMHO there should be no more thank you posts unless it is coming from the user/s that have received a invite/account. Meaning if you did not receive an invite and are posting anything other that what the OP is requesting you shall therefor be considered posting spam, which may lead to infractions/rep taken and bans if it's continually.
