my question is

when im downloading using utorrent the max dl speed i ever get is around 550 kb/s and up 80kb/s
my current isp has me on 5mb internet speed, does that directly affect my utorrent speed?

this month im changing to a 16mb internet speed fiberoptic network ,, will i see a change in utorrent?

or is 550kb/s the max utorrent ever goes 2???

Your current speed, 5mb should translate to 5mb/8 * 0.8 = 500kb/s which is pretty much what you are getting with the 550kb/s speed. Just a quick tip, the 8 above is to convert to kb/s and the .8 are associated loses from the server to your home or general losses.

Anywho, your new connection should give you: 16mb/8 * 0.8 = 1600 - 1750kb/s.

I do not believe that utorrent should limit the speed you are getting unless you have a cap on the number of connections you can obtain.

From what I know, the number you are quoting is most likely your download speed. I don't know if your upload speed will increase because you didn't list it.

Usually tho, ISP's provide higher upload speeds with higher download speeds as a package...So without anymore info, I would say its likely that your upload speed will increase.

To make sure, get the actual upload speed provided with the 16mb download package.

Check it on speedtest.net mate. Although I can pretty much say yes, but it won't increase as much as your dowload speed.
