From my experience, Asus as always brought the highest quality out there in every respective price range. Their mobos are titanium hard, feature rich, highly susceptible to OC and their longevity beats most brands easily.

The few Intel boards I've come across of died after like 3-4 years of usage, while I still see Asus boards beating their 6th year. So ya, go for Asus, forget about Intel.

I have an Intel board that still rocking, 5 years old already. Asus is good but pricey. I think Gigabyte is their worthy competitor, although MSI is not that bad.

it depends what chipset asus has, Intel has it's own chipset which doesn't support SLI, but it works much faster with RAID 0 (I had mobos with both chipsets and RAID work faster on Intel)

I think MSI is the only wordy competitor for Assus, they're both highly resistant to temperatures, right now I have Assus on my pc and I've never had problems with it.

I think asus would be the better choice. Like I've used an intel board on my cousins computer and there were enough problems with it. Like sometimes the sound stopped and stuff, I think it might have been a defective board though, not sure. But for myself I have an asus board and it runs all my games really well. I have got no problems with it so far and I would recommend asus to you.

I think you should go for EVGA board if you are game enthusiast
EVGA X58, EVGA 780i SLI(triple way) . Both are very good. All you need to have is a decent GPU which you can also buy from EVGA. Check out EVGA.com for more!!!

They are both high quality products. Chipset and architecture are the key differences. Intel uses only its own chipsets where it has one. Asus picks the best chip for the target board price. So for the same price of board may have been able to find better options and thus on a blind selection, you will probably do better with Asus.

intel chipsets are very weak in chipsets, they got very small amount of chipsets who support in SLI, Triple SLI and Crossfire and they noy support well with high preformances of Video cards for high gaming!
if you want 2 well chipsets brands its gigabyte and asus dont think about intel they are s*cks!

I haven't a clue why you would possibly buy an Intel motherboard. Asus is slightly better I've never had a problem with them just due research before you commit to a board and make sure it has everything you need plus more. Read as many NewEgg reviews as possible. (Always buy Intel CPUs though)

I've never had problems with my assus motherboard and I went for it after my Intel motherboard crashed down. So between assus and intel, I say assus rules but MSI is always better, they have better resistance to heat.
