Perhaps they just got server problems. TL has been known to be prone to this considering how may users they have active at any given time...

Due to extremely high load at the moment, the site will remain down for a few hours, until tomorrow morning, while we will do the necessary optimizations to our servers, to fix this. Tracker will remain online during this time.

Looks like they need to do some upgrading.
