Hey Members just a thought came to my mind yesterday that Can we not have a IRC channel of TI as a separate as the chat-box as some limitations in it
Also IRC Channel will allow more members to interact with each other

tried doing one on mibbit as i have previously done a barnsley one but it doesn't seem to be working. if i get some time i'll have another go.

in the mean time anyone else is welcome to have a go at making ti irc

Perhaps we should wait for more members who come here frequently. Right now, there are only less than two handfuls of people who are well known on this site. The rest are just random come-and-goers. If there are more people who are dedicated to this forum, then IRC might be a good idea. But there are just not enough people here, who are dedicated to this forum yet. Let's wait a while.

You Can Join Chat at any time without Registering your nickname, but if you would like to use the same nickname all the time then you should register your nickname with the chat channel.

Follow this simple Guide to Register Your Nickname

1. Type the following command and replace your_password with a password that will be easy to remember and replace email@address.com with your correct email address (avoid yahoo if you can, as this sometimes fails)

/msg nickserv register your_password email@address.com

2. Get the confirmation code from your email inbox. Type the following command and replace confirmation_code with the code sent to you in the email. It has the template shown


/msg NickServ confirm confirmation_code

If you want your email address to remain private, use the following command:

/msg nickserv set hide email on

3. Finally once your nickname is registered you will need to identify yourself with the channel. Again this is a simple procedure using the following command

/msg nickserv identify your_password

You should only need to do this step once logging in on the main page with your details should Identify you

If you get on the channel after registering and someone has taken your Nickname then login with any user name and use the following command - obviously replacing the relevant information.

/msg NickServ GHOST your_nickname password

then use /nick your_nickname to change your nickname back to your registered one and use the identify command above to be recognised again.

Boot from your registered nickname /msg NickServ GHOST your_nickname password
