it also depends what file type you are converting to

the best encoder for dvd's is dvd-RB pro with CCE or procoder2
as for transcodes they are pretty much the same

agreed adsharma23 visual hub is the best for mac, there is nothing even close to it that i could find

cucusoft avi to vcd, dvd converter pro is the best i think. Ive been using ever since ive started downloading. Its really easy to use and it adds subs into movies well and merges batches well for complete tv seasons if u want to go that route. in my opinion overall thebest.:)
