There have been a rash of account hijackings lately. In most instances the affected members were using the same password on more than one site.
SECURE YOUR ACCOUNTS. DO NOT USE THE SAME PASSWORD AT MORE THAN ONE SITE! Unscrupulous operators at other sites can see your password and your email address, and use them to compromise any of your accounts which use the same login information. Email accounts can be hijacked as well, and these can be used to "recover" your login information from any site where you use the same email address.
KEEP YOUR PASSWORD AND YOUR PASSKEY SECRET AT ALL TIMES. Sharing your account with anyone else is a violation of BitMe's rules, and will result in your account being disabled.
BitMe has been forgiving and has helped its members recover their accounts when they are compromised; however our patience is wearing thin with those who are not following basic security procedures. There is no guarantee that you will get your account back if it is compromised; and even if you do, it will have its privileges reduced. So be sure to keep your password unique and secret, and your passkey secure!
