Perhaps you didn't read the article, they're not embracing it. They're only supporting a new type, p4p or w/e its called, which they also plan to filter traffic with. They'll never embrace the technology, b/c that would mean allowing unrestricted, unmonitored, unfiltered access to the bandwidth that customers are paying for. And these idiots in charge will always try to prevent change b/c it means that they will lose money and power.

Point taken.
As far as I know, Verizon does have or doesn't enforce any bw caps nor do they mess with bt like Comcast does. Peeps with a symmetrical 15Mb Fios connection are in heaven. Verizon has less to lose from p2p, actually I'm sure they don't mind CC having to fight p2p for some content delivery market share...whereas Comcast wants you to pay them to deliver their content...not let you get it for free via p2p (esp HD) and over their network to boot..lol. CC and p2p are actually competitors of sorts...that's why CC blocks bt 24/7 and not just during peak hours..has nothing to do with 'network management' as they claim.
