I have a question for y'all, If you give someone an invite and notice they haven't been active, how long should you wait before notifying that person or notify someone who can do something about it? Should you notify anyone at all?

For example someone gave an invite out to a well known e-learning site and it has never been used and Its been 10 days with no activity. Should something be said or done? Or is it too early? Can the person be holding it for selling or trading purposes? Thats what I would be worried about.

Just curious to see how some of you guys would handle a situation like this. Thanks for your help guys!

I would be worried that you invited a collector or something. However I'd give a bit longer before you try to contact the person. BitMe is freeleech right now (assuming that's the tracker you're talking about) so it's kind of suspicious that they aren't taking advantage of that extremely helpful opportunity.

I did that for a lot of my sites. I simply wait until I have a seedbox so that my ratio wont suffer as it would if I used my home connection. I remember I didn't use my ScT account for like 2 months lol. And plus you can always ask the guy what up if you have to... it's not like they aren't going to message you back. Well if they don't message you back, somethings up then.

As long as the user doesn't cheat or has hit & run then it shouldn't be problem. You can't be 100% sure if they guys is a collector. think it through: what if he just didn't have time? Or any other problem? Maybe he's just a regular guy not a cheater/trader/collector.

Absolutely, I definitely dont want to jump the gun or make a knee jerk reaction, all of this feedback is much appreciated. Im glad i made this thread, hearing others opinions on matters like this definitely makes making decisions a lot easier.

I agree with you guys about mostly everything, I would like to find out if there is any specific rule on inactivity as well. Also ri brought up a major point though. Because bitme had freeleech this weekend and seedbox or not, it would have been a perfect time to boost up some ratio and solidify an account there. Major red flag to me.

Don't worry. IF your invitee is inactive too long enough the tracker will take care of him automaticly (many sites prune inactive accounts all the time). I know how irritating it can be when you give a invite to a guy who's application is full off: "I just love this site, i'v been searching invite over a year, it has great pretimes and content I really need it bla bla bla bla" AND THEN one day when you look at your invite tree you can see him disabled because of inactivity... fuck that!

Pisses me off dude... Thats why im itching at the bit to get at him, but i just dont want to be irrational. But thats exactly what I got, The love fest on how much they "NEED" this and how their in school and need the material?????? Im not saying everyone is like that, but I know for some people the only material theyll be interested in is the "How to's" for getting laid.

Your right though bud, I'm sure in due time the tracker themselves will weed out the non users, I just hope my account doesnt become penalized for their intolerable Fuck ups.

You can park your account on some trackers to avoid this kind of situation :P

On some trackers that won't work more than 3 weeks without logging in. Others trackers keep parked accounts for many months without disable.

Most trackers will still prune a new account that hasn't leeched or seeded anything within a few weeks regardless of weather or not it's parked.

perhaps there are some other reasons for inactivity ,
for an instance I'll explain my experience :
I except more from two learning trackers which I'm reluctant to mention their name so I decide just forget about'em and get over it.
the funny point is both of trackers need invitation to get in but there is nothing as you expected.

Did you mean you expected more out of those trackers?

If thats the case wouldnt you have done the necessary research of that tracker before you accepted the invite, knowing thats why you asked for the invititation in the first place. Why ask for an invitation not knowing if the tracker has what you want. Even if its an expectation, its almost cruel to ask for an invitation, find out its not what you wanted and let it go to rot, especially if its the likes of bitme, I would almost even Dl just for the account purposes to keep it it good standing.

Seriously why would you fuck over your inviter like that? The person probably really used their account to be eligible for invites and then you just don't use it because is not "good enough" in your opinion. I think that's pretty low though... if you aren't going to use it then at least have the courtesy to not fuck over your inviter and maybe even tell the admin that you aren't going to use this tracker and to take you off the site without negatively impacting your inviter. Sorry if I sound mean, but that's been done to me by people many times and it really pisses me off.... hence the over protection on my invites now days...

hi ,
thats the point ,for an instance tracker "X" offers ebook and all those stuffs and it has some reps around and also you as a "pro torrent user" have access to several private/semi-public tracker say something like bitspyder or elbitz or even bitme and when you hear about the "X" you wana get there and expect some stuffs there , something like the content of elbitz although the tracker "X" needs invitation but their quality is not as good as a semi public tracker like elbitz.

@phoenix : no you are not sound mean I think you've made your point and its sound reasonable so I have two spare account in two so called educational private tracker what can I do with them? mention about it with my inviter?

I expect more from a private tracker not only because of 1000 ebooks or so then make their website private.if thats the way it is , in my HDD i have around 10000 or more (outdated) ebooks and also around 500 CBTs how about creating a single user website and make it private and then shout around about it? that sounds absurd dude

they should consider about their content.
just because they locked their door and some overstated new comer shouting about'em doesn't mean they are brilliant but I don't mean I underestimate them perhaps for some users they are great and they role first hand source for them but for me something like elbitz or bitme or bitspyder or learnbits is of course respectable because their admin at least spend some TIMES on their website/content so they are useful and you really want to participate there.

I wish I make my point clear and make you sure that I'm not gonna do something weird with a high level tracker ;)

cheers.
