Open Signup Torrents

The Open Signup Torrents section should just have one post that all Open signups are listed under, rather then digging through all the posts that individuals are making.

This will make it easier to keep track of what's going on.

not sure if it would be easier..cause then u will have to walk around hundred if not thousand posts..

imo the open signup torrent section need a full cleanup!everything deleted and statr over again with a bit more strict rules..

such as :search the last 2or 3 pages to see if the same trackerwas posted again..


Even better i vote to devide the section in 2 categories:
1 for normal and new trackers that are always open
and 1 for those that are open from time to time..

how about deleting everything and having a single sticky thread where everyone can post all the sites that have open signup all the time, and for the sites that have open signup on a special occasion create a new thread for each one, and the threads should all have names like [Open-Signup] SiteName. That way it would be much easier imo

auto delete old posts in not a bad idea..but keeping as it is its a real mess...

i agree with deliric...

1 sticky for the new, always open etc trackers..

for those with periodic open signups there could be threads created as it is now..But ONLY for those..not for tracker which are alway open..

the problem i can see with that is this.

If you have just 1 thread with all the open signups in the follwing will happen. Someone will post.....

FTN is open (i wish lol)

then 20 people in 20 seperate posts will say "thanks"
then the fact that FTN is open is lost behind 20 threads.
The way it is, it doesn't matter how many people reply to the fact that FTN is open because it is in its own thread.

Then if we auto deleted, after a certain time period that thread will be deleted and by then FTN signups will be closed again anyway, so the thread is not needed.

just my personal opinion though.

i can set a auto delete, but imo thats what the search option is for and TBH i wouldn't go past the first page. open to ideas on what you guys would like to see.

I've seen this done in a single thread on other sites and it actually made the section cleaner. If we combine all these requests, people have 1 thread to look at and can click on the last button to see what was posted last in that thread.

I think this would be a great idea.

How about one person in charge of open invites where people pm them and then he changes the front page of the open site thread. IT will be a sticky where only one person (or a few would be better) would keep track of it.

Would keep it clean and current.

whats the point in people posting sites which are always open. they may as well be listed as a sticky with the btracs website in the same post,

i think people should just post sites which are usually closed and are open for a limited time

i like this way better than the other ideas,
lets face that section is very messy, people keep making new threads for sites that are always open

It would be nice if people could give at least a brief description of the content on the tracker.

yeh agreed, always open trackers should just be in one thread with a little description on number on torrents etc (would need to be updated a lil bit tho), and new threads for periodic sign-ups. Also it would be good to have a thread with trackers that are close to closing sign-ups/becoming invite only.
