View Full Version : I need help! (just saying it mendaciously, I'm omnipotent)
Was going to point out that offering help to 'torrents' in general might lead to many a question like "what's an .exe? It doesn't work? My .torrent file won't open in media player! I downloaded this movie (by chance, an entire movie in .2 seconds) and it won't open! How does this torrent thing work!? Isn't my Mac pretty?!" might want to link to some sites or repost some guides (and sticky them) on how to do a basic torrent setup and config. Just to avoid pointless/mindless questions.

I totally agree, and support you emotionally and intellectually, but seriously how do you open a torrent in media player? Do I have to fdisk /mbr ? Is lilo or grub better for this situation and finally is it safe to format a hard drive in a blackout (please note the blackout refers to both user and city.

Uhh, Whats the Deal with Diets Avatar and Rank?
Seems, Squished and Different
Everyone of us started as a Noobie, so to have a section that those just starting out can ask anything at all and we all learned by asking,( yes i know even me), inane questions. Besides if anyone posts a question and someone can answer and put them on the right road it will make this forum a notch above the rest of them. So to have its own section would be really nice and helpful.
Can I post links to my ebooks now....lol and if so how do I do it....lol
