Two Huge Events Happened During Obama's Philadelphia Speech

Two big moments happened during Obama's speech, and they had nothing to do with what the POTUS was talking about.

First, some brief background... There was a story earlier this year about a billionaire name Alki David who offered $1 Million to anyone who performed a promotional stunt for his website, Battlecam. The stunt involved streaking within eyeshot or earshot of the POTUS with Battlecam written on him/her and yelling "Battlecam.com" several times.

Here's background for the second significant happening during the speech... Remember that bizarre incident in 2008 when an angry Iraqi journalist hurled a book at then President Bush...

During the speech an unknown perpetrator threw a book at President Obama. The President didn't see the book, but it came awfully close to his head. Needless to say there's going to be some major security implications as a result of the embarrassing events that took place during the speech. It hasn't been this bad since the supposed White House Party Crashers! (I say supposed because who knows what really happened in that situation).

Lol well to be honest with you if someone offered me a million dollars to make an ass of myself I would be doing it. Lol.
But obviously with the security of our president at risk this needs to be looked into deeper.
Even though I do not agree with anything our socialist president implements his security is of the utmost importance.
The person who offered to pay this guy needs to be taken in for questioning and made an example of.
You do NOT play games with the security of the president of the united states no matter what his political views.

Not trying to argue with your views or if he is indeed socialist or not. I just found the statement to be ironic.

I do however feel inclined to agree that security of the president is an important matter. It is one thing to make an ass of yourself at the football game [both American and European version] or even the baseball game. It just goes to show that people do indeed have a price for their dignity.

I think this is pretty funny and you can't do much about it. Crazy people do crazy stuff. The sad thing is that things like this are used all the time to make some new draconian laws that make life for everybody less enjoyable while not really preventing things like this.

And if anyone knows more of these stunts let me know cause I'll take off my clothes on national TV for a million :laugh:.

And as a European I really don't get why people think Obama is a socialist cause he really isn't. I think it comes from McCarthy's communist witch hunts during the fifties. Every time something even remotely red/socialist is mentioned a lot of American go crazy.

I wonder whether the guy making the offer is gonna face any criminal repercussions? If not, he may keep the promo going cause I'm sure it generated buzz about his site... though whether it was worth a million is another story.

If you read President Obama's books, listen to his speeches/interviews and see what he's doing (policy wise) it's kind of obvious what he believes and is pursuing...
