View Full Version : Painfully stupid spam

Every now and then, some spam will slip past Gmail's spam filters and find its way into my inbox. I usually just delete them but I recently got a few for college grants which have subject lines that are so blatantly idiotic, yet the message content seems well thought out, the best way to describe it is "seriously, WTF?!" and "EPIC FAIL." Here's some examples:

Today, from EduMatch: "We may hav grants for u"
Yesterday, from Sholarshipnews (seriously, SHOLARship??): "We hav grants for u in ur area"

My first reaction was amusement but then I started to think that there may actually be people dumb enough to take this stuff seriously, which is quite sad.

Although I do look forward to future messages from them, such as "COLEGE- Do it 4 teh lulz!" or "I urnd my degry! U can to!" I mean, who wouldn't want a "sholarship" from such a prestigious university?
