Beginners Guide to seedboxes

Seedboxes are the best way to boost your upload ratio on private torrent trackers. You can also use a seedbox for faster downloading, or to avoid lawsuits by the RIAA. See why seedboxes are important for any users of private trackers and how to choose the best seedbox for your needs.

What Is a Seedbox?

There are many more advantages of using seed boxes in addition to the internet connection speed which is very fast, up to 1000 Mbps, all seed boxes are protected by Peer Guardian 2 for full privacy. These speed boxes can run on the majority of the operating systems such as Windows, Linux or Mac OS X.

VNC connection or remote desktop protocol is provided by some expensive seedboxes which are Windows based. Many popular clients are able to run remotely in this environment. Your home computer doesn't have a BitTorrent client, no problem at all, with a seed box. You don't have to worry about the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) or Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) spying. You can get around school or other network restrictions by downloading the torrent to your seedbox, then downloading the file from your seedbox through FTP. You get rid of scary warning letters and notices from your ISP's and Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) with a seedbox.

Most seedboxes now come with the rutorrent client which almost perfectly mimics utorrent, is already setup and is now easier than ever to use.

What should I look for in a seedbox

Once you go for shopping for a seedbox. You may like to check:
Whether the seed boxes have easy-to-use any of these or all web based interfaces such as TorrentFlux ,uTorrent or wTorrent installed on it or not.
Is the seed box which you are trying to get offering unlimited data transfer or not!
Access to the files is of utmost importance. You must assure that you are getting unlimited access to your files via SFTP, FTP, HTTP and wget!
It is also important to check the number of users per server.
What is the storage capacity or drive space?
The Amount of shared resources and RAM,
What is the throughput limit?
Does the system have powerful dedicated servers?
Do they make Torrents?
Can they run multiple torrents at the same time?
Speed per client
Speed per Torrent
Whether they run multiple torrents at the same time! Some plans limit the amount of torrents hosted at once!
And finally the connection speed of the network.

Which seedbox

It all depends on your budget, but some decent seedboxes are very cheap these days. checkout our seedbox sec tion or view some of our ads for prices and info

If I may add - also important is Location of Servers - if you live say in CA, USA and your server is in Germany you're FTP download might suffer a bit than if you have a server say in Chicago USA. think most upload are still on 101 Mbps
as always research before you buy

I'm also planning to buy one of the seedbox to make a good buffer on the trackers which are very hard to seed on this internet speed.
This tutorial has made my day & got what I was looking for from long time....

Thanks fevTyke

like boxslots said install filezilla

fill in your hostname, username and password from your seedbox in the top bar and click quickconnect and then you can just drag and drop from right to left and it will download to your computer

HTTPS or Filezilla if it timeout you probably did picked wrong type of connection (protocol like FTP, SFTP, FTP over TLS make sure what you have your SB host provides or it wont work)

or if you were connected and it said timeout go refresh it (not right click refresh) but go on top and you'll see two arrows one blue and one green, click that and you should be able to connect ...
