View Full Version : Advice To Newcomers From Community Member Taupact

I don't really know where to post this so I thought I would put it here to show there is no hidden agenda with what I am writing its simply advice to newcomers.
If you have recently joined our community can I please give you a few tips that will safeguard your membership and help you in the future.
1. If you share a house with different people and use one PC then tell the mods when you sign up, otherwise it will show that you have multiple accounts and you could find yourself on deathrow from the very beginning (not a great way to start)
2.Be humble, listen to the moderators if they tell you something. We can all learn new things each day
3.Don't just ask for invites, I mean don't jump on every tracker thats going, every post you make gets recorded in your profile and it doesn't take alot of effort for the inviter to trawl through the posts and see that your just asking for everything. I can't speak for anyone else but I myself do not give invites to people who look like they are collecting.
4. Take a look at deathrow and see where other members have gone wrong to give you a better understanding of how not to proceed.
5. Say hello to new members, remember how you feel now! The excitement of feeling yourself around and getting used to how the community works, remember this after you have settled in.
6. Don't try to sell, trade invites on any site, please I can't stress this enough, this site is well connected and you will earn yourself an instant ban.
Have fun! pay it forward and enjoy the site.
It is so disappointing to see so many members being banned because they just simply didn't follow advice from others. I came here with demonoid and thanks to the generousity of members here I have worked my way to some great trackers and you can too. Just remember we are a community.
Peace.

nice tips you wrote there bro but they are banned coz they are scamers, liers, traders, cheaters and so on, and trust me they know what they do. they are using communitys, people for only one reason, get that bloody invite and than get banned

If i say hello to each new member it could be considered as an easy way to make more post for reaching the 300.
But if i have the permission, i'll be glad to do it.
P.S. Ok i just saw that post in the introduction section were not counted.

Hello I am also a new member. And to start off good, i want to put up a few GA. However there is no way for me to currently determine if a site belongs to the amateur or pro section. New members (like me) are not allowed to view the pro section yet (which is accordding to new member rules). But if i might have pro-sites, i do not want to post them in the amateur section.

Found it :D

so most of my sites are considered pro, i just need to make a few more posts and wait 15 days before i can post them :)

If u have some pro invites to give away and cant access the pro section then just pm a staff member and ill sure they'll let u or bend the rules if it is a very good tracker

You have made me scared... is it really this strict out here
It really isn't that strict. If you find that you're confused or want to ask a question about something the Help forums are very ... helpful :D You can always find someone here that will give you a hand.
Also, there is a thanks and like button for a reason. Use them to thank or like a post. If you have something to say then reply.
