funfiles main coder has left to set up a new site and taken some staff with him.
These are the two recent mass pm's to members of funfile

Okay, some of you know more then others, some of you might not have any clue what this is about.
Today, May 16th, 2008, two of our coders, borley! and pb1dft, moved on to a different project in their lives. Some of the other members of the staff have moved with them. The most notable one is BigD.
We all knew him, all loved him. He was always there for a laugh, and always there if we needed help. BigD was a valued member of this site, and you all read his parting message(If you havn't, go read it now!). He made a hard choice, which we should respect, that's the least we owe him. The same goes for all of the other staff and members who have decided to move on.
Funfile won't die, we won't let that happen, and I'm sure you guys won't let it happen either. We all shape this site, and together, can continue to make it great!

Ok people some things have happened today.
1 of my most trusted staff have decided to move onto another site with some ex coders. Its funny when you train someone for months and months you get betrayed but rest assured i told him everything he knows and more. He thinks he can survive without us. Good Luck.
A few people really know me when i started funfile all that time ago i started this site on my own i watch it grow and come to life. I've had many good staff and lost many good staff. This site is organised and has a record uptime. It runs like a well oiled machine.
Nothing will change Funfile is going nowhere i built it i will not let it die.
This other site that was mass e-mailed did they work hard to get you to use there site NO they sent you a e-mail from funfile telling you to sign up. Should you. Well thats upto you but remember it was funfile that made you stay gave you great things a fun place a great community. They have not earned the right to you being on there site. a brand new site they think they can keep online. well lets see in a few months where that site is.
Id like to take this moment to say i will not give up on you. I will rebuild my staff better than it was before shall i tell you why. Because im a winner i work hard.
Trust me were not going anywhere.
We are the people tracker. We will never die.

Well ladies and gents. This is gonna be quite a message.
Firstly, I've had great fun developing this community and being a member since very early in its existance.
Unfortunately, there have been some recent happenings, which most of you probably are completely unaware of, and others have heard whispers about, that have led me to question the authenticity of how this site is operates.
I will say no more about the specifics, as it is not fair to those who are involved and I am not out to hurt anyone.
I am borley!, I've loved this place for a long time, but I can not sit back and be complacent with the current situation.
I can not and will not do any harm to funfile, as the community has never been anything but friendly and supportive of me and all my efforts. I'm not around for any type of money, I have real jobs that pay my bills, Im not involved in the finances of this place whatsoever.
And in the near future I will not be around anymore. Undoubtedly I will soon be disabled and banned, perhaps deleted...but I'm not dissappearing.
Whether you feel its wrong or not, I've decided to start a new site and I will be actively developing the code for that site with my partner in crime Floxxx. The two of us together will oversee the finances of the site as treasurers, not owners. I paid for a server to get us out of the gates. My donation to you all. I should also be able to pay for nearly the second month. The first new purchase will be a cluster of seedboxes to provide massive speeds for everyone.
There are already noticable improvements over funfile.
A new casino
Revamped peers/torrent history (remove hit and runs from your profile with credit purchase!)
More powerful and robust browse and torrent filters
Some other things that other coders made
EVERY SINGLE USER IS WELCOME AND WILL RECIEVE GREAT BENEFITS FOR COMING AS A MEMBER OF THE FUNFILE COMMUNITY
Any staff that would like to come to the new site will be staff there. Everything, besides the name, will be the same.
Unfortunately however, there will not be content on the site. As a result, anyone that is willing to help with the initial uploading to populate the site with torrents will be rewarded with 1 month of VIP for every 15 .torrents you upload within the first month.
Even if you dont want to make the site your new home, you all are welcome to use it alongside all your other torrent sites We love you all!

PS - Understand this is not something we had thought about ever so there will certainly be small problems. But what you will have there is funfile's old lead developer (me) and the best server admin/coder funfile's seen (Floxxx). We will no longer be supporting funfile in any way (though you all can enjoy the code I'm leaving here). I'd love to see as many people as possible come along, but you all will need to make your own decisions. For those of you whom I never run into again, thanks for being kind to me in the past and godspeed.
