I just bought a 1-month premium seedbox from SeedM8 for $24. It was one of the few sites that didn't appear too shady.
So far the download rates are impressive. Storage is only 16Gigs. I can download one torrent at 1Mps or 2 at 520kbps each. The uploads max out at 520kbs for one torrent or 260kbps for two torrents.
When you can donate and get 350 gigs, bonuses and invites, at a site like HD-BITS.ro for $25.... it doesn't look like a torrent box is the cheapest solution, but there are some cool benefits.
I have a 10Mps connection, but I am certain my IP throttles the uploads so I thought I would try a seed box out. The uploads are much faster. I went from 10kbs to averaging 130-200kbps.
SeedM8 has a build in client. Although it is primative, I can setup the download/upload settings, close my browser and turn off my PC and all of my torrents are still going. Cool concept.
Over the next month I'm going to evaluate donating vs. a seedbox from a cost perspective. So far both options look much cheaper than my ISPs HDTV package.
If anyone has any suggestions? or can recommend another seedbox let me know.
