I was browsing the net and stumbled upon the following :

i just ran a tracert on demonoid.com and it leads to a server in germany owned by the site "oneandone.net", which is a hosting company. it could be that demonoid is moving to germany, or it could be that demonoid had to leave their old host, and are just hosting the main page there for the time being so that the domain still resolves to something and gives people some hope.
im guessing its the latter, as germany is definently not a filesharing friendly country, so i cant see why they would choose it to host the new demonoid.

1and1 i dont see hosting demonoid, its a decent reliable cheap server for smaller sites (liek the demonoid homepage) imo demonoid is done, atleast for a little while, i miss the days of demonoid :(

goto its forum, its back online already, the community is still strong the admin never said he wont revive the site. besides tracker is still up.

That might do it mate. As I understand it, they had to block Canadian IPs from the tracker as well. Of course, in Arkansas, the armpit of America, I can't really verify this; although it does make sense.

yeah ...when it waz running fine I neva bothered to sign-up in any other sites nor did I want any invites....now I;m desperately searching for invites and open signups ! Such is Life :lol: :wink:

im also a demonoid user before...and when the time that the sites down i also worried where i can get my torrents..but in the other side i feel happy because i able to know other reputable private trackers like TB,,TD and ST...
