i know that to avoid banning you have to keep your ratio as high as possible.
but is it true that you also have to keep every torrent with high ratio.

many trackers have option calls something like "My Snatch List".
in this option you can see every single torrent you have downloaded, and how many MB did you upload every torrent, how many MB did you download every torrent and you can see also everytorrent ratio.

so lets say, for example, that i have 5 torrents in my snatch list:
one torrent ratio i reached to 5.415.
and the others i reached to 0.001

my general ratio (the one appears at the top of the page) in that situation above, is pretty good, and not one that will endanger my account from getting ban.
but i have some torrents with low ratios.


does it imperil my account?

being a mod at a tracker, i can tell you that overall ratio while nice isn't everything. What counts is your ind. torrent ratio which is why mosts state you must have atleast a 1.1 or w/e it is before you can stop seeding. If you stop before reaching 1.0 on a torrent i.e. 0.001, it is considered HnR and will result in being banned :(

Also make sure you checkout the sites rules for a better clearer understanding. :)

That'd be silly to do it that way. A lot of the time the torrents you have still sitting there are seeding 'cause the ratio for that torrent is low. If someone were to ban on that alone, there'd be a ton of bans.

huh ?? If you have low ratio on a torrent and stop, it's called Hit n Run, OFC this is not true for public trackers. Goto any private tracker and do this = Banned excluding some sites.

thats why we should leave all of our torrents to be seeded completely...

I must admit I seed for weeks sometimes if my ratio is lower than 0.30. Then I make up for it on other torrents and seed to a 2.1 ratio to keep my site ratio up. As long as you have seeded for more than 3 days and it is not less than 0.20 the sites are happy, because it shows your trying. But if you constantly leech and seed to below 0.30 on almost every torrent, then you looking at getting kicked cos you arent a sharer, and thats what most private trackers dont want.

If You have ratio over 1.5 then HNR dont count on SCC- If under that seed 1:1 or at least 36h.
Its all in the Rules which are meant for reading before joining the site btw ....
