I have been hearing recently that comcast has an application called sandvine that they use to cap torrent uploading which has effectively crippled seeding. What about verizon any buddy know if they do the same thing?
Whats the deal with sandvine? how do people on comcast seed torrents? does verizon fios have an equivalent?

I know what u're talkin about.. and i am wondering the same thing.
Cause i have great upload to comcast.. and i am NOT from America. But i have a buddy from Masachusetz.. (i am sure it's not spelled this way.. i always type it wrong :D ) with who we discussed this.
I know exactly what your talking about..I have CC. They caught a LOT of heat from legal watchdogs and senators and are dialing back the sandvine boxes in most areas (mine too finally). I can use my full 16/2 connection now to seed as well! All I can say is hang tuff and wait...other options are VPN, SSH or a seedbox...
Wish FIOS was available here..they're offering 20/20 sym. connections!! And they don't inject forged RST packets into the BT protocall like Comcrap does!

Comcrap sux, but what's worse is the United States is more worried about people illegally sharing files than they are about minor things like murder, terrorism, health care, etc.
